Welcome to the eLearn: DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety) Introduction to the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).

This eLearn introduces key concepts of the MARAM Framework, that guides organisations and services in consistent and effective practice when working with people experiencing and using family violence.

The eLearn consists of three modules and covers:

  • Your responsibilities for the identification, assessment, and management of family violence risk, depending on your role
  • MARAM evidence-based risk factors including high risk factors
  • The MARAM Structured Professional Judgement Model used to assess family violence risk consisting of:
    • Victim survivors' self-assessment of their level of risk
    • Evidence-based risk factors
    • Information sharing
    • Intersectional analysis and professional judgement

This eLearn may be confronting for some staff members and a link to support services is available under the Additional Resources section below. It is recommended that you notify your manager that you will be undertaking this eLearn, and if this eLearn raises concerns for you.

This course has a duration of 40 minutes.
